The DIM
The Domaine de recherche et d'innovation majeur (DIM) Material Heritage - Innovation, Experimentation, Resilience (PAMIR) is the Ile-de-France research network dedicated to the study of heritage sciences. It follows on from the DIM Ancient and Heritage Materials (2017-2021).
The DIM PAMIR brings together human and social sciences (history, archaeology, paleontology, art history) with natural sciences (physics, chemistry, life and earth sciences) and data sciences (mathematics, statistics, computer science). Structured in 4 methodological axes and 3 thematic fields, it strives to study heritage from all angles, to strengthen the dynamics of collaboration between research teams and socio-economic actors, and to support the structuring of the field.
The collection
The DIM Matériaux anciens et patrimoniaux collection gathers the scientific productions of projects financed by the DIM MAP and PAMIR.
It is complemented by a Zotero library which contains publications in heritage sciences of the network members.
